STYLE'S

For a person to make a fashion trend and style out of a headscarf, a thin (manto) thats is a thin jacket worn. Is a big shout out to say HEY we know about fashion and how to style with the smallest items. I take my hat off to them, they are showing that they are not typical, they are updated about fashion as much as I am.

Going Inside Tehran’s Secret Fashion Shows

We meet Iran’s fashion rebels

The derailing of a fashion show is all about the rushing around, hair, make-up stylist fixing your style. Once all them are done your getting ready to make your entrance on to the catwalk, where all the lights and cameras are flashing away waiting for your arrival.....

But what is less usual is that this fashion show is taking place in secret in Tehran, making it a risky event for all the participants. According to Iran’s sharia law, a woman who does not cover her hair and body in public can be fined or imprisoned for up to two months, and being in mixed company ‘uncovered’ would be enough to jeopardize the freedom of all involved.

I cam across some people that had seen on TV what was happening in iran recently. they asked really stupid question from each other. "why are they protesting like this, why are they acting whiled"?
well thats why i have a blogger. To update and inform some people why this has happened.
The first thing that comes in to mined is FREEDOM, RIGHT OF SPEECH, NOT WORRY ABOUT GOING OUT THE HOUSE WITH HAIR SHOWING AND HAVING A SUMMER DRESS ON ETC.....
All this protesting happened for the government to open their eyes and see what they have done and are doing! We just want to have a choice on how to live our life and not for others to tell us how to live it!

TREND

As I walk around my beautiful city of Tehran I never miss to notice that all the women are in hejabs but all their hejab has a stamp of Gucci, YSL, Burberry etc..

I can understand that the people of Iran cant wear what the westerns wear, but could they have the same knowledge about fashion, Or even more?

I’m not going to say yes or no, I believe that every one has a pacific style and trend of some sort.

HUSHIRAR HORTEZAIE

This designer who also works with designer Michael Sears is based in New York East Village.
Mortezaie utilizes politic and kitsch and incorporate them in his designs aesthetic.

As a fellow Iranian and designer, I respect his work and him self. Hushidar Mortezaie celebrates his heritage and incorporates his culture identity in his work.

CAN FASHION SPARK A REVOLUTION?

“A Muslim woman may wear whatever she pleases in the presence of her husband and family or among women friends. But when she goes out or when men other than her husband or close family are present she is expected to wear a dress which will cover all parts of her body, and which should not reveal the figure.”
