Bra Top Style 2012

This season trends are harking back to retro days and the bra top is a huge part of the Vintage Americana look. Hemlines keep getting shorter and shorter, that’s ok with us as the tops go up, so do the style stakes. No need to roll your tops up ladies; the designers have done that for you. Not only are they actually pretty versatile, but they are a daringly refreshing alternative piece to wear during those hot summer days. So, get ready for heads to be turned. Bright and printed, decorated with unusual stitching or cut out in the strangest way – bra tops will be hotter than ever. If you’re not comfortable wearing a bra-let on its own, you can always layer it. Wear a shirt top, a shirt dress, short jacket or blazer-a peek is all it needs!

Bags Of Style

It seems this Spring/Summer 2012 bags are being adored more than ever. The designers are coming up with a more sophisticated look and our job is to make sure you are updated. The key bag trends for 2012 include – the clutch, flat, tribe, reptile and lots of colours, not forgetting fluorescent.
Flat bags can be carried during the day time as well this season. French Designer Pierre Balmain has used the trend rather well, bringing in the tribal theme with all the trimmings. It is studded, beaded, embroidered and embellished. His work never fails to impress!

This seasons it’s skin! Among all 2012 bag trends, the reptile leather is for sure the most outstanding- it never gets old! Be it snake, eel, crocodile, our love affair with animal instinct is set to contiue.

If you cannot afford designer bags, do not worry! Just don’t forget what bags are in trend. Get a bag in your budget.

Nazneen jewellery collection is very eye catching and chic. Her work involves using lots of diamonds and stones and claims her pieces are “99% real silver withe 1% white gold”. The collection also included a great mixture of bangles and necklaces adorned with pearls and coloured stones – all of which were very light to wear thus providing a perfect accessory for the approaching summer climate. One of the highlights include a peacock necklace Sunita Marshal wore ending the collection that has Nazneen’s signature all over it.

Batur wanted to create a statement with is SS12 collection as his first model entered the catwalk with a tribal theme using exotic prints including zebra, snake and tigers. When asked what inspired his collection he said, “The cheetah prints represent the predator that roam the lands where my tribe originate from. The Zebra prints represent the prey, like my fellow tribesmen, who live in fear of being attacked” That being said, many of the individual pieces are striking however the overall collection is a little too dramatic to absorb.

Namrah presented her traditional bridal wear collection using an array of rich, vibrant pastel colours, interwoven with delicate embroidery that seemed far from traditional – which Namrah concurred: “even these aren’t enough for the traditional bridle wear. They’ll certainly want more on the garments”. A highlight from her collection was a long over layer with 30s tassel scooped neckline kameez, quarter length skinny leg trousers. It wasn’t overly embroidered on but kept chic and plain. In the latter SS12 collections, the models strolled down the catwalk in soft, floating chiffon fabrics bringing in the summer breeze. Tie dye maxi kameez dresses, mixing orange and pink, yellow and white created a great effect to the design. When asking Namrah what inspired her current collection she replied, “My inspiration has always been with me – my daughter”.
